U.S. Chamber, NAM join 200 groups seeking tax and entitlement reform and deficit reduction of greater than $1.5 trillion Two hundred associations and chambers of commerce are urging the congressional supercommittee to find deficit reductions even greater than the $1.5 trillion called for by the Budget Control Act. We believe it is crucial to act expeditiously to rein in spending, reform the tax code, reduce the deficit, and stabilize and ultimately lower Americas level of debt, the organizations said in an Oct. 28 letter to the supercommittee and all members of Congress.
